Joining the Team: Staff Responsibilities and Positions 2018
Every staff member is placed into one of the many job positions with clearly defined job duties listed on the employment page. You have the potential to advance to another job position if there is an open availability and if you can fulfill all the job position requirements. You can be considered for future job positions as the company grows and develops.


Maintenance Entry Level Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, plant identification.

Maintenance Middle Level Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, proficiency in line trimming and hedge trimming, plant identification.

Maintenance Crew Lead Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, proficiency in line trimming and hedge trimming, plant identification, current pesticide license, managing of the crew, responsible for the truck and equipment, following the schedule, using the LMN app, and filling out all required paperwork. 
 

Installation Entry Level Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, plant identification. Basic installation duties such as moving materials, grading, planting, spreading bark, etc.

Installation Middle Level Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, proficiency in line trimming and hedge trimming, plant identification. In addition to the basic installation duties noted above more advanced skills such as laying pavers, repairing irrigation systems, laying sod, leveling and grading soil and other materials, and assisting the building of retaining walls, waterfalls, and other projects.

Installation Crew Lead Position; 
Job duties to include mowing of lawns, raking of beds, pulling of weeds, hand pruning of shrubs, proficiency in line trimming and hedge trimming, plant identification, current pesticide license, managing of the crew, responsible for the truck and equipment, following the schedule, using the LMN app, and filling out all required paperwork. In addition to the duties noted above more refined skills such as installation of complete projects from beginning to end, grading and heavy machinery work, irrigation systems, project organization and implementation, logistics, leadership.
 

Shop Mechanic Position;

1. Repairs to small equipment, mowers, trucks, and trailers as needed in a timely and organized fashion.

2. Confirm and check in with crews that they are taking their trucks in for regular scheduled visits

3. Equipment tags and repair board are being used and checked regularly, and staff are reporting damaged equipment.

4. Communication between different part stores to order parts, equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.

5. Stocking of parts and supplies as needed before regular scheduled maintenance/repairs. (oil changes, etc.)

6. Regular report to supervisor/owners about condition of trucks and equipment.

7. Oversee regular scheduled repairs to trucks/trailers/large mowers to try to prevent possible down time from repairs. (example: checking tires, greasing bearings, checking brake pads, etc.)

8. Inspect monthly all trucks checked for damage, possible needed repairs/maintenance, lights, etc and report created and communicated with supervisor.

9. In charge of getting trucks/equipment to outside mechanics and picking them back up.

10. Take part in meetings to communicate needs, how equipment is doing, repairs upcoming that week, etc.
 

Maintenance Supervisor Position;

1. Direct supervision and responsibility of multiple maintenance crews. This will increase over time. Making sure crews operate safely, efficiently, and with high quality workmanship. Every morning getting the crews running and off to their routes; equipment, supplies, etc.  You will have to work diligently to motivate, encourage, support, organize, and marshal the forces in the morning and throughout the week. Direct authority over crew leads of the company and be empowered to communicate, provide instructions, etc.

2. Enforcement of the dress code and safety standards. Empowered and expected to make sure the staff understands the reasons for safety and dress code and that it is implemented on a daily basis.

3. Quality Control Checks
Quality control checks on properties that your maintenance routes are responsible for performed on a regular basis.

5. Irrigation Controller Adjustments. Monitoring irrigation control timers as needed.

6. Regularly taking time to communicate, consult, make plans, share vision, provide feedback.
